As World Teachers’ Day arrived on October 5, multiple international subsidiaries of Twyford International joined hands to launch a series of education-focused donation programs. This was not a one-off charity event, but a vivid reflection of Twyford International’s long-term commitment to localized operations and corporate social responsibility. Through donations of teaching materials and improvements to school facilities, the company aims to give back to local communities, pay tribute to teachers, and make a meaningful contribution to education in its host countries.
◆ Ghana
A heartfelt letter from ABOADZE-ABUESI D/A 'C Basic School in Ghana reads: “The Headteacher, SMC and the PTA Executives of the afore-mentioned school would like to express our profound gratitude to your good office and the company for the honor done us.”Their words of appreciation truly warm the heart.

Recently, Twyford Ghana learned that the school’s computer lab had a severely damaged floor. The constant dust was causing frequent computer breakdowns, disrupting students’ computer lessons. The teachers’ lounge also needed urgent improvement. In response, Twyford Ghana quickly arranged and donated the ceramic tiles needed, helping the school upgrade its teaching and office environment through concrete action.
◆ Kenya
Twyford Kenya donated a batch of ceramic tiles to MCEDO-Beijing-School, located in Mathare, the second-largest informal settlement in Nairobi, to help improve the school’s infrastructure and learning environment. The new tiles have refreshed the school's appearance and created a safer, cleaner, and more comfortable environment for the teachers and students.

On the day of the donation, Twyford Kenya also prepared gifts for the teachers and personally visited the school to express appreciation. The company representative conveyed heartfelt greetings and high respect to the teachers, saying: “Education is the cornerstone of social progress. Our growth as a company relies on the support of the community, and we’re committed to giving back and supporting education wherever we can.”
A teacher representative from the school expressed deep gratitude to Twyford Kenya, noting that the donation had significantly improved the school’s facilities and boosted the morale of both teachers and students.
◆ Tanzania
Twyford Tanzania donated a batch of ceramic tiles worth RMB 23,300 to Mbezi-Congoni Secondary School, taking concrete action to support the school’s construction. On the same day, the company also donated teaching materials such as printing paper, pens, and exercise books, earning heartfelt appreciation from the local district government, town officials, and community leaders.

Since its establishment, the school has faced numerous challenges. Considering the school’s real situation and the urgent need for educational support in the area, Twyford Tanzania has repeatedly offered assistance over the years, demonstrating its strong sense of corporate responsibility. Last year, the company donated 8 truckloads of construction materials to the community and received a thank-you letter that read: “On behalf of the people of Mbezi, I would like to express our sincere gratitude to your company. Thank you for donating 8 truckloads of materials for our school construction, which greatly advanced our building progress. I would like to take this opportunity to request that your company continue our existing partnership to promote the development of Mbezi together.”
In addition, Twyford Tanzania plans to donate 40 sets of desks and chairs and 18 sets of textbooks to Mkiu Secondary School, located near the company’s second plant, further supporting local education development.
◆ Senegal
In the town of Sinja, Sinja Secondary School stands as the only middle school in the area. Due to funding constraints, both teachers and students have long suffered from overcrowded classrooms. After finally raising enough funds to build 6 new classrooms, the school ran out of money for flooring tiles.
Upon learning of the situation, Twyford Senegal immediately contacted the school. After confirming the specific needs, the company quickly mobilized resources and arranged for the tiles to be delivered. When the truck carrying enough tiles to cover 750㎡—enough for all 6 new classrooms—arrived at the school gate, many teachers and students were deeply touched.

The school warmly welcomed the company representatives and invited them to visit. Standing inside the unfinished classrooms, everyone expressed their heartfelt gratitude. The principal said: “This donation not only solved our most urgent problem but also gave spiritual encouragement and support to our entire school. Tiles from Twyford are well-known in our region. Just imagine how wonderful it will be for our teachers and students to teach and learn in classrooms floored with Twyford tiles.”
A town official added: “Since its establishment, Twyford Senegal has been an active supporter of public welfare. The company has generously helped schools, hospitals, and local communities, while also creating new job opportunities and driving local development.”
At the end of the donation ceremony, the company presented notebooks printed with the Twyford logo to the teachers and students attending the event. The small gesture brought smiles and joy to everyone. One student said: “I’ll cherish this gift and always remember the name Twyford.”

This cross-border act of kindness on World Teachers’ Day once again highlights that Twyford International is not only a builder of local economies but also a committed partner in community development. In the future, Twyford International will continue to uphold its corporate mission of “Better Solutions, Better Life”. The company remains committed to supporting education and nurturing local talent as part of its long-term promise—continuing to sow the seeds of hope and working hand in hand with all partners to build a brighter, more sustainable future.
